Lend your methods.
Get real, verifiable credit.

CollabScience matches statisticians, methodologists, epidemiologists, scientific writers, and classical-language scholars to research projects that need exactly your skills — as named, credited collaborators. Never as invisible help.

The deal

You contribute expertise

Strengthen a study design, run the analysis, structure a systematic review, read a classical source in the original — real intellectual contribution to a real project, scoped before you ever say yes.

You are credited properly

Named co-author when your contribution meets the ICMJE criteria; formally acknowledged when it doesn't. The collaboration agreement records who does what — before work begins.

It is verifiable, permanently

Completed collaborations earn a timestamped CRediT Contribution Certificate anchored to a public OSF deposit. How the certificate works →

How matching works

  1. You declare your skills once — as CRediT roles (e.g., Methodology, Formal analysis, Writing – review & editing) plus the languages you work in.
  2. We email you when a project matches — one email, with a structured project brief: suggested design, reporting checklist, ethics status, and exactly which roles are needed. No feed to monitor, no browsing, no spam.
  3. You accept or decline — declining is always fine. If you accept and the researcher picks you, both of you receive one introduction email with a pre-filled ICMJE collaboration agreement.
  4. You work directly — email, calls, shared drives, your choice. CollabScience steps aside until the manuscript is deposited and the certificate is issued.

What we ask of you

One honest boundary: under ICMJE rules, language editing alone does not qualify for authorship — it earns a formal acknowledgement instead. The collaboration agreement handles both cases explicitly, so there is never ambiguity about the byline.
